About me

I am a third culture kid who has grown up all over the world. I was born in the Netherlands, then moved to Venezuela where my brother was born. At this point in my life I could speak Dutch, German and Spanish. We then moved to Australia, and my parents told me that I didn't talk for about 6 months...and then when I finally did start talking it was a mix of English, German, Dutch and Spanish...as you can imagine my parents struggled to understand me at times. We then moved to Oman, and then to Norway. Currently I am in London studying towards my masters degree.

Interests

PADI Dive Master Since 2014.
I obtained my PADI dive master qualification during the summer of 2014 with Buddies Dive Cove in Malta

Teaching I have been interested in this for a few years now
Teaching and tutoring is something that I really enjoy. In second year I participated in the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme and as of this year I have been a self-employed tutor.

The Outdoors Since for ever.
Anything outdoorsy, I am down for it. Camping, hiking, swimming, exploring you name it. This summer my brother and I did two tours around Stavanger. The first was the Lysefjord Rundt. This was a tour around the Lysfjord, which is the local fjord in the Stavanger region. We took the ferry to Flørli, climbed the 4444 steps and then stayed overnight in a cabin. The next day we trekked to Lysebotn, via Kjerag and we stood on the rock! Due to a combination of factors we stayed longer in Lysebotn than expected, and we next took the ferry to Songesand and hiked to Bakken where we were attacked by midges. The following morning we took a dip in the fjord and then took the ferry back home.
The second tour was a kayak tour. We had unbelievably good conditions, flat water and windstill days. Apart from the last day were there were some serious waves. My brother loved surfing them, I not as much!
